MAASAI VILLAGE VISITS
The Maasai Community is a unique tribe due to their long preservation of culture. Adorned by their brilliant red, blue and purple shukas that they put on, tall men are armed with spears and swords for protection, their women decorated with loads of bright beaded jewelry placed around their necks and arms and their color varies depending on the occasion they are attending captivates all upon arrival. Okay, enough of the words, just get to visit their Manyatta for this and more information and real life setting. You will get an amazing opportunity to see them dance and sing an even join them on their jumping dance, the adumu. Their houses are an attraction in itself, and interestingly built by women.
Enchoro Wildlife Camp offers you an opportunity to experience the local culture of the Maasai Community as this gives you an ideal opportunity to also purchase the Maasai souvenirs to take home with you. Maasai village visits are offered early in the morning or late in the afternoon after the game drives where you get an opportunity to stretch a bit from the busy day safari.
The charges are only USD 20 per person payable directly to the Maasai Community at their manyatta.
